I have been in the Horticultural Industry for many years, during which I focused on forging a vast number of long lasting relationships, at many levels with people from all aspects of the Horticultural Hardgoods Industry. I have literally touched every type of hardgood item over my career enabling me to gain a deep knowledge of this important aspect of the growers world we call - Hard Goods Sourcing.
Like many of you, I started working at a young age first in the world of aquatic plants before attending Sandhills Community College in their globally renowned Landscape Gardening Program. A program which focuses on 'real life' situations of greenhouse growing, and nursery production. I also graduated Magna Cum Laude because I loved what I was doing.
In a short time I migrated over to selling hardgoods with BFG Supply Co., Burton, Ohio for 17 years, working with many growers / suppliers / manufacturers of all types that included all commodities related to growing production, sales, and operations. Next relocating to Florida in hardgood sales with V.J. Growers, and then with Florikan E.S.A. Corp.(Florikan CRF), before becoming the Director of Global Sourcing for one of the largest nurseries in the world, Costa Farms for 17 years.
During this time I worked with suppliers, manufacturers, and owners of horticultural companies all over the world, in every commodity imaginable, traveling globally as well for sourcing. My work here put me in touch with the highest levels of innovation, production, and relationship building within the industry.
My journey has now positioned me to be of assistance to people in our industry in a consulting capacity where I know I can help both growers and manufacturers, buyers and sellers to forge relationships which produce a win-win for all.
